Everything worth knowing: how Pufffi helps with ADHD, autism and families, what features it has, how much it costs, and how the AI is safe for children. 30 questions with detailed answers.
Pufffi is a web-based (PWA) chore and to-do reminder for families, adults and children. AI breaks big tasks into tiny doable steps, and a gentle Tamagotchi-style helper reminds you kindly — never shaming. It's especially helpful for people with ADHD, autism, executive function challenges, and for every parent worn out by daily routine.
Pufffi can help anyone who struggles to start or see through everyday tasks. Target audience: adults and children with ADHD, autistic people, AuDHDers, procrastinators, busy parents, neurodivergent families. No diagnosis needed — if the "I can't get started" feeling is familiar, it's for you.
Regular to-do apps give you a list. Pufffi solves how to start — AI breaks a big task into 5 tiny micro-steps and highlights only ONE at a time. It never shames or punishes. No streak loss, no point deduction. The helper's state just gently reflects whether you did something today.
Executive dysfunction is difficulty with task initiation, working memory, time blindness and planning — especially common in ADHD, autism, depression, burnout. Here, the task itself isn't hard; the "first step" is invisible. Pufffi solves this: AI shows you concretely what the next tiny step is, and only that one.
The ADHD brain loves immediate feedback, struggles to break down big tasks, and easily gets lost in details. Pufffi does three ADHD-specific things: (1) breaks the task into 5 tiny steps, shows only ONE at a time — no overwhelm; (2) the Tamagotchi-style creature gives an instant micro-dopamine boost when you finish something; (3) it never shames if you skipped a day — people with ADHD already shame themselves too much.
Autistic people often prefer structured, predictable routines and struggle with sensory overload. Pufffi has multiple answers: AI task breakdown gives concrete clear steps; the weather+outfit tip helps decide what to wear (key for sensory sensitivity); background noise (white, pink, brown, gray) helps focus; the "Explain it" AI describes complex topics clearly, with kid-safe moderation.
In a family, chores overlap, get lost or nobody knows who's doing what. Pufffi solves this: each family member gets their own profile (5 on Family, 10 on PRO), with their own little helper and tasks. There's a shared shopping list and shared task pool — assign anyone a chore with one tap. Put Pufffi on your child's phone in 30 seconds via QR code — no password or email typing.
Neurodivergent and procrastination-prone users already shame themselves too much — a strict, streak-losing app just makes it worse. Pufffi deliberately skips every punishing mechanism: no point system, no consecutive-day streak, no "you failed" message. If neglected too long, your helper "naps" (not dies) — a handful of completed tasks brings it back. Gentle reminder, not punishment.
Two ways. Text: describe a big task (max 512 characters), e.g. "deep clean", and AI splits it into 5 concrete doable micro-steps. Photo: take a picture of a messy kitchen, garden, desk, and AI breaks it down by what it SEES. The breakdown becomes a saved task list, and only one step is highlighted — that's all you have to focus on.
You photograph a messy space (kitchen, kid's room, desk, garden), AI sees the picture and breaks it into 5 tiny chores: "pick up the mugs", "put the books on the shelf", etc. Especially useful for parents — you don't have to put chaos into words, just one tap. Photo is deleted after processing, not stored, not used for anything else. Free plan: 1 photo breakdown/month; Family: 10; PRO: 50.
"Explain it" is a separate AI feature: type a topic (e.g. "how does a rainbow work") and Pufffi explains it clearly, kindly — for anyone, kid-safe if needed. In kids mode, non-kid-appropriate topics (18+, drugs, alcohol, self-harm, violence) are refused; a caring message is shown instead. It doesn't write school homework answers — only explains the process.
Within the family account you can create multiple profiles — 2 free, 5 on Family, 10 on PRO. Each has their own helper, task list and progress. There's a shared shopping list (everyone can add and tick) and a shared task pool — assign anyone a task with one tap. The child profile has its own moderated AI and parental controls.
Yes, this is a PRO feature. Set your city and Pufffi shows you today's weather + what's good to wear, every morning. Especially helpful for parents (chaotic mornings), autistic users (sensory sensitivity — knowing in advance what clothes will feel OK is key), and anyone who forgets to dress for cold. Built on open Open-Meteo data — nobody sees your data.
In Settings you tick which appliances you own. Pufffi automatically adds their seasonal and recurring maintenance to your task list: dishwasher salt refill, filter cleaning, seal care, air fryer inner cleaning, washing machine drain, etc. So you don't need to remember what needs doing when — it's in the background. Typically active on adult profile.
Five built-in tools, all free: (1) Visual Timer + Pomodoro — striking countdown, easier to start; (2) Breathing — guided breath work with a calming ring for when it's all too much; (3) Background noise — white, pink, brown, gray for focus and sleep; (4) Braindump — tagged quick-notes, dump what pops into your head, find later by tag; (5) Explain it — clear AI explanation for anything.
Yes. The shopping list is visible and editable by everyone in the family — anyone adds an item, anyone ticks it off. Especially helpful for busy mixed families: one parent finishes the milk and adds "milk"; the other parent sees it in the evening and picks it up on the way home. Taggable, categorizable. No need for a separate shopping app — it's part of Pufffi.
With a QR code, in 30 seconds, no password. On your own phone: Settings → Profiles → next to the child's profile, tap "Pair device" → a QR valid for 5 minutes appears. On the child's phone: scan it with the Camera app — Pufffi opens and is already signed in with the child's profile selected. Then add to home screen and you're done.
Kids mode is a safer Pufffi experience for children. In "Explain it", non-kid-appropriate topics (18+, drugs, alcohol, self-harm, violence) are refused — a caring message is shown instead. For self-harm or abuse, the free helpline number is displayed. Parent gets an email alert on sensitive topics (except family-internal abuse — that would endanger the child). Turn on: Settings → Profile type → "Child".
A 4–8 digit code required to exit kids mode, switch profiles, or reach settings. So the child can't "accidentally" jump to the adult profile or access AI settings. Set up: Settings → Parental lock. If you forget, it can be reset from your own (non-kids) profile. Completely optional — if you don't need it, don't turn it on.
Free plan: free forever, 2 profiles, 3 helpers, 5 text + 1 photo AI breakdowns per month, shared shopping list, reminders, all base features. Family plan: 2 490 HUF/month (~€6.50), 5 profiles, 60 text + 10 photo AI. PRO plan: 4 900 HUF/month (~€12.50), 10 profiles, 250 text + 50 photo AI, all 9 helpers, custom theme colors, weather tip. You can switch and cancel any time.
1 credit = 1 text breakdown (e.g. "deep clean" → 5 tiny sub-steps). 1 photo breakdown = 5 credits. Your plan's monthly quota resets on the 1st. If you run out and don't want to upgrade, you can top up with credit packs — those never expire. In-plan credits, however, reset at the end of the month.
No. The free plan is free forever and usable without card registration. 5 text and 1 photo AI breakdowns per month, 2 profiles, 3 helpers, shared shopping list, reminders and all base features. If you like it and want more, that's when payment enters.
Yes. Settings → Redeem code. You may get a code from bloggers, ADHD-related community posts, campaign giveaways, or medical practices — you redeem it there. Depending on the code: (a) AI credit boost, (b) plan time (14 days / 1 month / etc. Family or PRO), (c) unlock a hidden little helper. The same code can only be redeemed once per account.
The photo is only used for AI task breakdown. We don't store it, don't build a gallery, don't use it for anything else, and never share it with third parties. It's deleted from our server (EU, Hungary) immediately after processing. Your image is optimized to 1536px before upload for speed. All privacy details: Privacy Notice.
Data is stored on our own servers in Hungary (EU). Tasks and profile data sync over encrypted connections. We don't send data to the US, China or other non-EU countries (except OpenAI for AI task breakdown — only the text or photo goes, no personal or account data). GDPR-compliant, self-hosted PocketBase database.
Yes, we take this seriously. The AI is not an open chatbot: it only helps with task breakdown and "Explain it" answers. In kids mode, non-kid-appropriate topics (18+, drugs, alcohol, self-harm, violence) are blocked — a caring message + helpline is shown instead. It doesn't write school homework answers. Important: the AI is not infallible; it doesn't replace parental supervision.
Yes. Sign in with the same email on any phone, tablet or computer — tasks, Pufffi state and settings sync automatically. If it's a family account, use QR code to log in the child's phone without a password. No device limit for normal use.
No, and there won't be. Pufffi is a PWA (Progressive Web App), so it runs from the browser and can be added to your home screen with one tap. iPhone Safari: Share → "Add to Home Screen". Android Chrome: three-dot menu → "Install app". From then on it launches like any installed app — but takes zero space, always runs the latest version, and there's no App Store gatekeeper.
Settings → Plan & billing. Upgrade kicks in immediately with prorated billing. Downgrade kicks in at the end of the current cycle. After cancellation the plan stays active until the paid period ends, then switches to Free — profiles and tasks stay. If you change your mind before expiry, one click brings it back.
Settings → at the bottom "Delete account permanently" → type the word "DELETE" and confirm. All your data (profiles, tasks, invoices, Pufffis) is permanently erased — this is not reversible. Any active subscription is canceled automatically. Refunds are not available. This is real GDPR-compliant data deletion, not just deactivation.
